Studio Clays

  • Standard #112 - Speckled Brown

    Plastic clay for wheel and modeling. Granular manganese gives speckled surface.

    Shrinkage:

    C/6 – 12.5%

    Absorption:

    C/6 – 2.5%

  • Standard #306 - Brown

    Smooth throwing body.

    Shrinkage:

    C/6 - 11.5%

    Absorption:

    C/6 - 3.5%

  • Standard #760 - Speckled Tan

    Similar working qualities to #112. Grayish tan color with very fine black specks. Contains manganese and fine grog.

    Shrinkage:

    C/6 - 12%

    Absorption:

    C/6 - 2.2%

  • Standard #308 - Brooklyn Red

    Red stoneware body with sand and grog.

    Shrinkage:

    C/6 - 12.5%

    Absorption:

    C/6 - 2.0%

  • Standard #266G - Umbria

    Gives a reduction-like dark brown color. Smooth and plastic. Contains manganese and a small amount of fine grog is added. It's good for all techniques.

    Shrinkage:

    C/6 - 11.5%

    Absorption:

    C/6 - 1.0%

  • Laguna b-mix - White

    A smooth, porcelain texture by Laguna. Pleasant to throw and form. Fires cream color.

    Shrinkage:

    C/6 - 12% to 13%

    Absorption:

    C/6 - 0.5% to 3%

Studio Glazes

  • Opulence glaze

    The Vessel will have dipping and brush on glazes available manufactured by Opulence Glaze.
